Thyroid Cancer: A growing problem in young women
There has been an increasing incidence of thyroid cancer in the United States over the past 2-3 decades. The American Cancer Society estimates 37,400 new cases of thyroid cancer in 2008. Of those patients, 75% are females, which represents a 3:1 ratio.Please join Dr. Paul Spring as he discusses the rising incidence of thyroid cancer in women as well as treatment options in patients planning or wanting to become pregnant. Dr. Spring will answer questions and discuss diagnosis, management, and the factors influencing the prognosis of thyroid cancer.
